This blog does not pretend to be even handed. It has an often dark and depressing theme -- Capitalism run amok is at the root of most of the world's seemingly intractable problems. I recognize human behavior and our capacity to do bad things as individuals. I am not an apologist or a bleeding heart but rather postulate that history is driven by the powerful.
